3DArmory.com is a site dedicated to popular massive multiplayer online game World of Warcraft.  3DArmory.com created as a simple 3D Model viewer and became quite popular in a few days of it’s beta release.

The site has evolved as a full-featured armory alternative and with the latest major updates, 3DArmory.com has became a socialized community powered by Google Friend Connect.

Socialized Armory?

It’s easy to see that social networking and virtual worlds are the fastest growing trends over the Internet. World of Warcraft, itself is a virtual world, besides it’s mostly called as a video game and massive multiplayer online game.  There are millions of active subscribers. The fact is, World of Warcraft is also a popular trend on the web, with lots of dedicated blogs, sites and services like 3darmory.com. But there is NO social network dedicated for World of Warcraft on the web. You can share your toon’s screenshots or armory link on your Facebook or Myspace profile, but that’s how the web works these days. World of Warcraft being the most evolved and widest virtual network, it is it’s own social platform for players. The platform must support World of Warcraft natively, ie,  being able to render World of Warcraft toons easly.

So 3DArmory.com is here as an outside Social Platform for World of Warcraft players.

There exists Blizzard’s original Armory site and many other sites, light armory, fat armory and so on. All of these sites are just centered on World of Warcraft toons but not the players.
3DArmory.com on the other hand minds the player and is completely build with players in mind. So unlike the others, 3DArmory.com acts as a Socialized World of Warcraft site, where players can discuss,comment, rate and even screenshots their toons.  But the most interesting part is, you can find your friends on the site and share these with them.

Yet another thing with 3DArmory.com is that, it minds esthetical aspects World of Warcraft toons, so it renders it’s visitors a 3D Model with customization while for other armory sites, epics are just purple colored texts.

Gold Advertisements over the site?!
3DArmory.com is a huge platform which needs lots of resources to operate properly. Right now, the platform is running on 3 servers all over the World (2 over America and 1 over Europe). Resources costs.  So in order to pay the bills, we do have Google Adsense advertisements on the site.  At the same time, Adsense is a heaven for Gold Sellers. We do maintain a list of active gold sellers with more than 200 entries, which we filter. But the Adsense filter list is limited around 200 entries. So we need to maintain the list to filter the active advertisements and that’s time consuming. So please bear with us and if you see any gold advertisements, contact us about it - we’ll add it to our active filters.
