Categories:World of Warcraft July 31st, 2009 WoW China - Censorship getting worse After 2 months of downtime , the chinese servers are back online, however NetEase which is now in charge of operating WoW in China, had to make a few fun changes to the game. According to this chinese player , they replaced all pictures of skulls, chopped of heads, organs of any kind and some Warlock spells with Bags and Chests ! In June the contract with the previous operator called The9 expired and Blizzard chose not to renew it, but instead go with a new company called Netease, reportedly for the tenfold increase in profit and greater control over game content.
